Najma’s Indian Cookery Classes take place in my home kitchen in Raynes Park, South West London. I have been teaching since 2013 when Najma’s won it’s first award in the catering business.

Classes are small and hands-on, providing enthusiastic learners the opportunity to learn in a relaxed and friendly environment. In each class you will learn the essential techniques of Indian cooking, including how to blend spices to achieve the authentic flavours true to traditional home recipes.

From prepping ingredients to cooking and sampling the final dishes, you will take away a skill for life plus the dishes you have prepared to share at home with family or friends.

Had a fantastic lesson cooking fish curry, Saag Aloo & pilau rice with shermin. All the ingredients were prepared and organised well with lots of guidance and great tips throughout the class, which which was really helpful and I really enjoyed. Food tasted amazing, and was able to take home in containers to enjoy again. Thank you Shermin!.

We had a wonderful morning learning how to cook biriyani at Najma’s. Shermin is an excellent teacher and everything was organised so beautifully. We had great fun, learnt a lot and took home a delicious meal.

Great experience! Our host was very welcoming and friendly. The kitchen was wide and comfortable for the cooking class for 2. The ingredients were prepared for us. The host took us step by step through the recipe providing cooking secrets on the way. We enjoyed our dish at the end. :) We were provided containers to take the rest of the food home and share with family and friends. Pictures were allowed during the cooking experience :) Thank you!
